Contest Terms & Conditions
ORGANISER AND ELIGIBILITY
ELECTRIFY YOUR LIFE CONTEST (the “Contest”) is organised by PROTON New Energy Technology Sdn. Bhd. (Company No. 202201030092 (1475789-X)) (the “Organiser”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd (198301005788 (0100995U)).
CONTEST DURATION
The Contest begins on 08 May 2025 at “12:00:00” and ends on 31 July 2025 at “23:59:59” (“Contest Duration”). The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Contest Duration at any time without prior notice. All entries outside the Contest Duration will be disqualified. Only completed entries will be entertained.
THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE SUBMITTED ENTRY ARE AS FOLLOWS:
- The Contest is open to all individuals residing in Malaysia.
- Participants must be 18 years old and above as of 08 May 2025.
- Participants must present their original identification card or passport for verification if they win a prize. Verification will be conducted by the Organiser through a secure process.
CONTEST MECHANICS & HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
No purchase is required to participate in the Contest. However, each participant must register and submit a unique and creative slogan, which can be written in either English or Bahasa Malaysia ("Slogan") through the official Contest microsite at: https://emaselectrifycontest.pronet.my during the Contest Period. The registration is a pre-requisite entry (“Entry”) to participate and will earn the participant one (1) entry.
Participants must complete the following Slogan during registration:
- Proton e.MAS makes my life _________________________________.
- Proton e.MAS menjadikan hidup saya__________________________.
The Slogan must meet the following criteria:
- Contain a maximum of one hundred (100) characters including spaces and punctuation, excluding the five (5) mandatory given words.
- Be relevant to the Proton e.MAS brand.
- Be original, creative, inspiring, and aligned with the Contest theme.
- Be written in either English or Bahasa Malaysia only.
- Must not contain any profanity, vulgar language, or references to political issues.
Each Entry received will be subject to verification and approval by the Organiser to qualify (“Qualified Entry”). The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any Entry that contains incomplete or inconsistent personal details and creative slogan.
The Organiser reserves the right to publish, use, and/or display any submitted Slogan for promotional, marketing, and advertising purposes without prior notice, compensation, or claim from the Participant.
HOW TO COLLECT ENTRIES:
Check-In and collect Entries
After registration, Participants may check-in and collect more entries and submit more slogans through any of the following channels during the Contest Period:
- By checking in at any Proton e.MAS Dealer outlets (five (5) Entries).
- By checking in at any Proton e.MAS “Electrify Your Life” Roadshow location (five (5) Entries per location x four (4) locations = twenty (20) Entries).
- By conducting a test drive of the Proton e.MAS 7 at any participating Proton e.MAS Dealer outlet and/or roadshow location (ten (10) Entries).
Each Participant may collect a maximum of 36 Entries through registration and check-ins during the Contest Period.
Proton e.MAS Dealer Outlets
Participants may visit any Proton e.MAS Dealer outlet and scan the QR code provided by the Sales Specialist or authorised outlet personnel to submit their personal details and Slogan to collect five (5) Entries. Each participant is allowed to check in at a Proton e.MAS Dealer outlet and collect five (5) Entries once only. The full outlet list can be viewed here.
Proton e.MAS Roadshow Locations
Participants may visit any Proton e.MAS “Electrify Your Life” Roadshow location and scan the QR code provided by the Proton e.MAS Authorised Personnel to submit their personal details and Slogan to collect five (5) Entries. Each participant is allowed to check in at each Roadshow location once, earning five (5) Entries for each check in, participants may be required to participate in activities by the Organiser.
However, participants may visit up to four (4) additional Proton e.MAS Roadshow locations, earning five (5) Entries for each location visited. The maximum number of entries a participant can collect is twenty (20) entries by checking in at four (4) different locations.

Proton e.MAS 7 Test Drive
Participants may visit any Proton e.MAS Dealer outlet or official Proton e.MAS “Electrify Your Life” Roadshow location, Malaysian Autoshow 2025 at MAEPS Serdang (9th – 15th May 2025) and/or Proton e.MAS dealer roadshows and test drive Proton e.MAS 7. After the test drive, they may scan the QR code provided by the Sales Specialist or the organiser’s Authorised Personnel to submit their personal details and Slogan to collect ten (10) Entries. Each participant is allowed to test drive and collect ten (10) Entries once only.
MONTHLY PRIZES & HOW TO WIN
Monthly Prizes
There are fifty (50) Monthly Prizes in the form of one (1) Touch ‘n Go eWallet Reload PIN worth Ringgit Malaysia fifty (RM50) each to be won for each month for three (3) consecutive months.
There are a total of one hundred and fifty (150) Monthly Prizes to be won throughout the Contest Period.
The three (3) monthly periods are as follows:
- Month 1: 08 May 2025 to 31 May 2025
- Month 2: 01 June 2025 to 30 June 2025
- Month 3: 01 July 2025 to 31 July 2025
Monthly Prizes Winners Selection
As part of the Monthly Prize Winner's selection process, each Qualified Entry will be assigned a serial number according to the date and time the Entries were entered, starting from serial number one (“1”).
Each month, the serial numbers assigned to all Qualified Entries will be tabulated and processed using a computerised random generator to select fifty (50) serial numbers, determining the fifty (50) unique Monthly Prize Finalists.
All Monthly Prize Finalists will be contacted via the ELECTRIFY YOUR LIFE CONTEST official WhatsApp Number: +6018 322 3280, sent to the contact number provided during registration. Each selected Monthly Prize Finalists will be given one (1) question to answer. The selected Monthly Prize Finalists must answer the question posted by the Organiser correctly in order to win the Prizes. Failure to answer correctly and/or failure to answer the question posted by the Organiser within the time stated in the WhatsApp message will result in the Prize being forfeited. The Organiser will not be held liable in the event the selected Monthly Prize Finalists cannot be contacted for whatever reasons. The Organiser reserves the right to select another Monthly Prize Finalist at the Organiser’s discretion in the event that the initial selected Monthly Prize Finalist cannot be contacted or failed to answer the question correctly within the time stated. The Monthly Prize Finalist who answers the question correctly within the time stated will be considered a Winner.
Each Participant may win one (1) Monthly Prize per month and up to a maximum of three (3) Monthly Prizes throughout the Contest Period.
Monthly Prizes fulfilment process
All Monthly Prize Touch ‘n Go eWallet Reload PIN Winners will receive from the Organiser’s service provider their Reload PIN Code via WhatsApp from the ELECTRIFY YOUR LIFE CONTEST official WhatsApp Number: +6018 322 3280, sent to the mobile number provided during registration within six (6) to eight (8) weeks from the closing date of the Contest.
The Organiser reserves the right at its absolute discretion to extend the timeline of Reload PIN Code Prizes delivery as the Organiser deems necessary. The Organiser will not be held responsible if any of the Reload PIN Code cannot be delivered or deployed to the Winners due to any change, error and/or difference in the mobile contact number submitted to the Organiser during registration.
All Monthly Prize Winners must abide by the terms and conditions of the vendors and parties arranging and providing the Reload PIN Code. The Winners shall be fully responsible for any additional administrative fees or costs associated with redeeming the Reload PIN Code through channels other than their respective application and usage.

All unclaimed e-Wallet Reload PIN Code(s) after the deadline set by the Organiser as stated in the WhatsApp messages will be forfeited. The Organiser reserves the rights to substitute any prize for an alternative of equal or greater value.

GRAND PRIZE & HOW TO WIN
Grand Prize
There is one (1) Grand Prize in the form of one (1) new Proton e.MAS 5 model to be won throughout the Contest Period.
All additional or miscellaneous costs associated with the use, maintenance, and redemption of the Grand Prize shall be borne solely by the winner. This includes but is not limited to vehicle insurance, road tax, registration fees, transportation, and any other related expenses. The Organiser shall not be held liable for any risks, damages, or losses incurred in the process of claiming or using the prize. All responsibilities arising from the acceptance and use of the prize rest entirely with the winner.
The Organiser reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute the Grand Prize with another of equal or greater value without prior notice. The final determination of the Grand Prize's variant and colour shall also rest solely with the Organiser.
The collection of the Grand Prize is subject to stock availability. The winner will be notified by the Organiser once the Grand Prize is ready for collection. While the variant and colour will be determined by the Organiser, the winner may be given the option to select a colour from the available stock at the time of notification.
All decisions made by the Organiser in relation to the Grand Prize details, including any substitutions or specifications, shall be final and binding.
Grand Prize Winner Selection
At the end of the Contest Period, the Organiser will conduct a judging session to evaluate the Slogans submitted during the Contest Period.
Slogans will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Contain a maximum of one hundred (100) characters including spaces and punctuation, excluding the five (5) mandatory given words.
- Originality and creativity – the uniqueness and inventiveness of the Slogan.
- Relevance to the Proton e.MAS brand and Contest theme – the extent to which the Slogan aligns with the brand, overall theme and objectives of the Contest.
- Clarity and impact – the effectiveness of the message and its ability to resonate.
Slogans will be reviewed and scored by a panel of judges appointed by the Organiser. The judges’ decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entertained.
In the event of a tie in scoring, the Organiser reserves the right to conduct further evaluation and make a final determination based on additional criteria at its sole discretion.
Grand Prize Giving Ceremony
The Grand Prize winner will be contacted via appropriate channels from the Organiser within three (3) weeks from the closing date of the Contest. The Grand Prize winner is required to attend the official prize giving ceremony as scheduled by the Organiser. The Grand Prize winner must confirm his/her attendance within the time stated by the Organiser. Failure to confirm his/her attendance within the time stated and/or failure to attend the ceremony without valid reason, will result in the forfeiture of the Grand Prize. The Organiser reserves the right to select an alternate winner from the remaining shortlisted participants.
The winning slogan submitted by the Grand Prize winner will be featured on the Grand Prize, as determined by the Organiser. By participating, the Grand Prize Winner grants the Organiser the right to reproduce, display, and use the slogan for this purpose without further compensation or approval.
ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Participants grant the Organiser the right to use any photos and/or other material, or information received during the Contest or thereafter for advertising, marketing, and communication purposes without compensation to the Participant, his or her successors or assigns, or any other entity.
Employees and its immediate family member (spouse, children, parents & siblings) of the Organiser, Proton Holdings Bhd and all related subsidiaries, Proton e.MAS dealers as well as the marketing agency involved in this contest, are not eligible to participate.
All entries must be original and not infringe any intellectual property rights owned by any party. Participants may not raise, circulate, reproduce or otherwise furnish any materials containing intellectual property rights of any other party, including but not limited to copyright, or other proprietary information held by the other party without the prior written permission of the owner of the intellectual property rights or proprietary information. If you believe your work has been tampered with and displayed in violation of intellectual property rights, please contact the Organiser at [email protected].
By participating in this Contest, all participants agree and acknowledge that all intellectual property rights in all entries will belong to the Organiser. The Organiser reserves the exclusive right to use, edit, modify, and publish the entries submitted by all participants, publishing the names of the participants, in such manner as it thinks fit for any advertising, trade, promotion purposes and for any other reason without prior notice to participants and participants shall not claim ownership or any payment or compensation in relation to any of this information or their entry.
By participating in the Contest, the Participants:
- Agree to the use of their name, photograph, caricature, voice, biographical material and/or likeness, without compensation by the Organiser and/or any party authorized by the Organiser in connection with the Contest.
- Grant the Organiser and any party authorized by the Organiser an irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free right and license to use any material submitted as part of their entry into the Contest, the photos, and any footage or materials that feature or otherwise include the Winners (collectively known as “the Works”) in any manner, for any purpose the Organiser may see fit, in all forms of media now known or hereafter invented.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, waive any moral rights or similar rights they may have in the Works or any part thereof throughout the world.
- Undertake not to object to any use of the Works by the Organiser or any party authorized by the Organiser.
- Without in any way limiting the scope of the Terms, hereby release and shall indemnify the Organiser or any party authorized by the Organiser from any and all claims and causes of action for libel, slander, invasion of rights or privacy or publicity, claims of infringement of any intellectual property rights, or for any other claim or cause of action based upon, relating to, or in connection with the use made by the Organiser or any party authorized by the Organiser of any of the rights granted above.
The winner may be required to take part in promotional activity related to the Prize Draw and the winner shall participate in such activity on the Organiser's reasonable request. The winner consents to the use by the Organiser and its related companies, both before and after the closing date of the Prize Draw for an unlimited time, of the winner's voice, image, photograph, and name for publicity purposes (in any medium, including still photographs and films, and on the internet, including any websites hosted by the Organiser and its related companies) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material without additional compensation or prior notice and, in entering the Prize Draw, all entrants consent to the same.
The Participant agrees that they are solely responsible for the content submitted. To the extent permitted by law, the Organiser shall not be liable in any way for such content or for any claims of infringement of intellectual property rights, rights of privacy, publicity or confidentiality. The Organiser reserves the right to release any content without notice of any reason whatsoever. The Participant warrants and agrees that:
- They will not produce any content that is unlawful or fraudulent, or that the Organiser may consider whether it violates any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights, defamatory, contemptuous, obscene, or sexually abusive, inappropriate, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, unpleasant in relation to race, religion, origination or gender, unsuitable for children under the age of 18, or otherwise inappropriate for publication;
- They will obtain prior permission from any individual or property appearing in their content;
- They will obtain full consent in advance from any individual who has created or has any rights in the content, for the use and the terms herein together;
- The content shall not contain a virus or cause injury or harm to any individual or entity;
- They will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, individuals who control copyright, content, defamation, privacy, publicity, and access or use of computers or other individual communication systems.
The Organiser reserves the right to reject any entries that are incorrect, incomplete, suspicious, or invalid. The Participant agrees not to knowingly damage or cause interruption to the Contest and/or prevent others from entering the Contest.
The Organiser and its respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees, directors, officers, agents, independent contractors, advertising, promotion, and fulfilment agencies, and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for:
- Disruption, network congestion, malicious virus attacks, unauthorized data hacking, data corruption, and server hardware failure or otherwise;
- Any technical errors, whether due to the inaccessibility of the internet network.
- Telephone, electronic, hardware, or software program, network, internet, server, or computer malfunctions, failures, interruptions, miscommunications, or difficulties of any kind, whether human, mechanical, or electrical, including, without limitation, the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information online.
- Late, lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible communication including but not limited to e-mails.
- Failed, incomplete, lost, garbled, jumbled, interrupted, unavailable, or delayed computer transmissions.
- Any condition caused by events beyond the control of the Organiser that may cause the Contest to be disrupted or corrupted.
- Any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the gift, or acceptance, possession, or use of the Prize, or from participation in the Contest. For the avoidance of doubt, the Prizes are provided by the Organiser. The Participant hereby acknowledges and agrees that the Organiser excludes all warranty and/or liability in connection with the awarded Prizes and/or the Contest. The Participant shall assume full liability and responsibility in case of any liability, mishap, injury, loss, damage, claim, or accident (including personal injury and/or death) resulting from their participation in the Contest, redemption and/or usage of the Prizes. The Organiser shall not be held responsible for any loss, damage, or injury (including death) in any manner whatsoever suffered by the Participant as a result of the participation in the Contest, redemption, and/or usage of the Prizes. The Organiser and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees, directors, officers, employees, agents, independent contractors, and advertising/promotion.
By participating in the Contest, winners agree to grant the Organiser and its respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees, directors, officers, agents, independent contractors, and advertising/promotion agencies the use of data collected through the Contest website, likeness, biographical data, and statements for purposes, including, without limitation, advertising, trade, or promotion, in perpetuity, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Winners will be contacted by the Organiser or the marketing agency via the contact numbers provided when participating in the contest. Contact may also be made through phone, email, or social media channels.
If the winners cannot be contacted and/or the registration is ineligible and/or fails to claim a Prize and/or fails to timely return the completed and executed declaration and releases as required, the Prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected. Refusal or return of the winners’ notification as undelivered will also result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected. Appeals to check the status of entries will not be entertained.
The Organiser reserves the right to end the Contest earlier or extend the Contest Duration at its own discretion.
All costs, fees, and/or expenses incurred or to be incurred by the Winners in relation to the Contest and/or to claim the Prize(s), which shall include but not be limited to the costs for transportation, postage/courier, personal costs, and/or any other costs, are the sole responsibility of the Winners. The Organiser will not be responsible for any loss or damages during prize delivery.
The Organiser reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to change the prizes as it sees fit and deal with any unclaimed prizes in any manner. Any change will be final and binding upon every Participant in the Contest.
The Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable, non-refundable, and not exchangeable for cash, credit or kind, either in part or in full except at, the sole and absolute discretion of the Organiser and is subject to the terms and conditions accompanying the Prize. The Prize cannot be sold or bartered. There is no refund for a partially used Prize. The Organiser may at its sole and absolute discretion withdraw and/or substitute any Prize with any other item of similar value without notice and without furnishing any reason. Unless otherwise stated, the Winner is solely responsible for any and all taxes and/or fees as well as all additional costs that may be incurred in relation to the Prize.
The Winners of the Contest are not allowed to represent and/or endorse any other brands, companies, or entities that are directly or indirectly in competition with the PROTON brand or be detrimental to the brand as deemed fit.
Judges’ decisions are final, and any complaints will not be entertained.
By participating in the Contest, the Participant hereby agrees that he/she shall not, directly or indirectly, give, promise or offer and undertake not to give, promise or offer money, donations, gifts, or other benefits whatsoever in order to influence with corrupt intent the Organiser or any private person or business, or any employee or public international authority, or anyone acting on the Organiser’s behalf, in the exercise of authority or in connection with obtaining any improper benefit or advantage with respect to this Contest or any matter covered by these Terms or otherwise take any action (or fail to take action when required) that would violate any applicable laws, including but not limited to any applicable local laws and/or regulations.
Participation in the Contest constitutes the participant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
The Organiser reserves the right to omit, add or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without any prior notice. Any new or amended Terms and Conditions will supersede the existing Terms and Conditions with immediate effect.
The invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability of any terms hereunder shall not affect or impair the continuation in force of the remainder of the Terms and Conditions of this Contest.
